OBJECTIVE:

  • Have teachers with the education and certification to teach young children.
  • Use the Creative Curriculum and District Curriculum that will help your child grow academically and socially.
  • Regularly review and assess your child's progress and choose teaching and learning activities that are best for your child.
  • Help you and your child adjust to pre-kindergarten and smoothly move on to kindergarten.
  • Offer a small class size (17 students per one teacher and one teaching assistant) so that your child can have plenty of one-on-one time with the teachers.
  • Offer outdoor gross motor activities daily and go on educational field trips to surrounding museums, farms, the zoo, parks, and theatres. 
  •  Prepares children for reading and math, but also for paying attention, following directions and getting along with others.

 

DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR STUDENTS WILL LEARN:

 

1.

Be introduced to the letters of the alphabet and their sounds.

2.

Be introduced to the numerals 1 thru 20. 

3.

Be introduced to colors.

4.

Be introduced to shapes.

5.

Reinforce self-help skills, learn how to manage their emotions through social emotional scenarios.  Using cooperation, taking turns, and patience through play activities. 

6.

Children will individually grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
