Here’s a look at February’s upcoming events:
- A Walk Thru History – All day, all month
- Quiz yourself on African American history with this easy, interactive game. All participants will receive a prize.
- Valentine Scavenger Hunt – All day, all month
- Can you find all the missing Valentine’s items? Complete the scavenger hunt to win a prize.
- Read On Challenge – Ongoing through May 31
- Students in grades K-6 who read 10 books of their choice will earn a FREE personal pan pizza from Salvatore’s Pizza House. Pick up a reading tracker at the library, record your books, and return it to receive your voucher. Students may earn up to two pizzas per school year. Completed vouchers must be returned by May 31.
- Tutoring with Ms. Steph – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- One-on-one tutoring support in Reading/Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Math. Walk-ins are welcome, but families are encouraged to call 412-244-2944 to reserve a 30-minute session.
- Creativity Tuesdays – Every Tuesday in February, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

- Test your knowledge and history skills in a game of Kahoot. The winner of each round will receive a prize.
- World Geography Game – Monday, February 9, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Do you know your continents and countries? Put your geography skills to the test and win a prize.
- Valentine’s Day Bingo – Wednesday, February 11, 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Shout “BINGO!” and win fun prizes during this festive game.
- Universal Yummies – Thursday, February 12, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Venture to another country by tasting a variety of snacks from around the world. Available while supplies last.
- Teen Talk Thursdays – Thursday, February 19, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Teens ages 13–18 are invited for one-on-one or group discussions with a librarian about next steps in their journey. Each month features a new topic. Attend four sessions this school year for a chance to win a prize. This month’s theme is finding a hobby, with an art activity using recycled materials.
- Children’s Winter Olympics – Fridays, February 6, 13, and 20, 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Compete in Winter Olympics–themed games each week. Attend every session to be entered into the Olympics Grand Prize drawing.
- Musical Ears – Monday, February 23, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Test your listening skills by guessing the correct artist, genre, and song for a chance to win a prize.
- Children’s Friday Film – Friday, February 27, 4:00 p.m.
- Enjoy a free movie and popcorn! This month’s feature is a kids’ movie choice.
